Blog for March 8th

Today in western civilization, mr schick showed us a powerpoint full of facts/ hints toward our next graded assignment. after we were finished, we had to finish getting notes from the text book.
general notes:
2000 islands in the aegeanionian seas
the sea shaped greek civilization just as rivers shaped the ancient civilizations of Egypt, the fertile crescent, India, and china
all lived around the sea
took 85 miles to get to the coast
mountains divided the land into a nu,ber of different regions
ancient times, uneven terrain also made land transportation difficult
(mostly dirt paths)
climate was the 3rd most important environmental influence on greek civilization
48 degrees in the winter
80 degrees in the summer
a large wave of info europeans migrated from the eurasian steppes to Europe
I think that greek culture is very interesting and im excited to learn about in the future! Plus I just got told that I am going to greece next summer.
